Ways to Partner with the Museum

Sponsor one or more of our Diversity Series Events

The Museum of Public Relations is more than a storage locker for historical documents chronicling the history of the public relations practice. It’s also a learning center where we mine that history to develop actionable content today’s practitioners can use to address today’s challenges and to shape the practice’s future.

We’re the only institution in the world that does this. And we put those lessons into events, exhibits, web content, papers, books, and videos. Our widely acclaimed Heritage Series of events revealed PR’s hidden history of contributions to the industry by women and people of color, encouraging greater diversity of thought and inclusiveness. We co-produced a series of events on the history of propaganda and how it has devolved into today’s plague of disinformation. We have recorded the oral histories of prominent practitioners from Edward Bernays and Lynne Choy Uyeda (first Asian woman to start a PR firm) to Harold Burson and Inez Kaiser (first Black woman to open a PR firm). We’ve published biographies of practitioners like Ivy Lee, Ofield Dukes, and Marilyn Laurie. And our website reaches nearly 10,000 unique visitors a month.

None of this could have been done without generous sponsors who wanted to support and be associated with work like this.

You can become a non-exclusive sponsor of the PRMuseum event or initiative of your choice for as little as $2,500. Your name will be posted on our website and donor wall as well as on all material associated with the event.

A donation of $10,000 will entitle you to sponsor five events in the year of your donation with all the same benefits.

A donation of $20,000 will entitle you to the above benefits and also make you a sponsor of all PRMuseum events for two years.

When your multi-year donations reach $30,000 within a four-year period, you will be acknowledged as an Underwriter of all museum events and initiatives in that year. If your donations total $40,000 in the same year, you will be an Underwriter for the next year as well.

When your multi-year donations reach $50,000 within a four-year period, you will also be entitled to one exclusive Branded initiative or fellow (archivist, researcher, writer/producer).

And a donation of $100,000 within a four-year period will entitle you to all the above plus you will be offered representation on the Museum of Public Relations Board of Directors.

We welcome the opportunity to partner with your organization to create a digital exhibit showcasing a period of public relations history or demonstrating the way PR has impacted history.

Sponsor the Museum’s “Hidden History of PR” classes

Sponsor a series of Museum lectures to university PR classes. Demonstrate your organization's proactive dedication to DEI policies and PR education. Your tax-deductible sponsorship will defray the universities’ standard costs for these classes and enable more students to have access to our resources. Connect with students and faculty in a meaningful way. 

  • Showcase your logo at the beginning and end of the class.  

  • Select a DEI representative of your organization to make a brief presentation.
