In this session, we will track the impact of markets, connect the dots to public disclosure, value the role of financial media relations and shareholder communications and look around the bend for how financial PR will be practiced.

Elliot Sloane, senior managing director, FTI Consulting

Elliot Sloane is a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting, a strategic communications firm. He has provided strategic counsel to some of the world’s most notable organizations, ensuring effective communication to investors, the media, employees, policymakers, elected officials, and other critical audiences. He is often on the front lines with executive teams, helping them to manage through complex and difficult situations. In 1998, Mr. Sloane founded Sloane & Company, an award-winning strategic communications firm; He was executive vice president and general manager of Edelman Financial Worldwide; vice president, director of financial media relations at Ruder Finn, among others. Mr. Sloane holds a B.A. in English from Columbia College and is a member of the Public Relations Society in America.
