We had a blast hosting students from Whitworth University in Spokane, who delighted us with their enthusiasm as they explored the timelessness of good PR practice. Thanks to Prof. Kevin Grieves for bringing his A-team. Have a look at the pictures and the video of one of the students, Becca Hruska who got a surprise while leafing through our archives.
Erika Sanchez, Julie Livingston and the wonderful students from Lafayette College. The Hispanic PR Association is invited to visit at any time! We look forward to having you! Listen to Erika Sanchez, president of the NYC chapter, Hispanic PR Assn, read from "Doris and Eddy: Pioneros de las Relaciones Publicas." The book was written by Fede Rey Lennon, a PR scholar in Buenos Aires.
Thanks to Marco Valenzuela, a PR professional from Ecuador, who visited the Museum served as a video tour guide for our Spanish speaking followers.
Happy to see Ana Toro Sevillano enjoying an old fashioned phone call at the Museum today. Ana is up in NYC for meetings with the PRSA National Board a few blocks away.
So great to host the team from PVH during their visit to the Museum today. PVH, founded in 1881, is today the parent to such iconic brands as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Speedo, IZOD, etc. The company initials stand for Phillips-Van Heusen (as in the shirt brand). In 1919 it received a patent for its self-folding shirt collar and ten years later, it introduced the first line of shirts with the collar-attached.
