"Social Guidance" Films in U.S. Schools in the 1940s

If Facebook were only around in 1947! The Coronet Instructional Film company may well have produced a film just like this to demonstrate proper dating manners on this "electronic friend-maker". Hundreds of "social guidance" films were shown in schools throughout the U.S. starting in 1941 and through the seventies. The largest producer, Coronet Film, was an offshoot of the magazine of the same name, and owned by Esquire, Inc.
